The Reds played out a goalless draw with the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in North London.
Liverpool headed into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at Anfield, which followed a 1-0 win against Stoke City away from home at the Britannia Stadium on the opening weekend of the 2015-16 Premier League season.
Arsenal were many observers’ favourites to pick up all three points from the encounter on Monday night, but Brendan Rodgers’s side managed to collect a point.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Emirates, Liverpool had just 34% of the possession, took 15 shots of which eight were on target, and earned eight corners.
Former Liverpool manager Evans was following the game, and he was impressed with the performance produced by the players.
