Report: Saint Etienne would accept Tottenham offer for Clement on one condition

Tottenham may be successful if they push their interest in Jeremy Clement.

Tottenham Hotspur could find their luck will be in if they push to sign Jeremy Clement, report French website Maxifoot.

Saint Etienne are open to selling Clement on one condition, if they can find a replacement before the end of the transfer window.

A report in the print version of France Football, as covered by Le 10 Sport, claimed that Spurs have scouted the former Rangers man in the past and are now planning to ramp up their interest.

With their interest publicised, it is highly possible Saint Etienne are already considering replacements for if Tottenham submit an offer.

Maxifoot report that the club would cash in on him despite the fact he is a regular starter for the club.

Clement has a contract until 2018, and is a defensive midfielder. He played for Rangers for one season in 2006/07.

The 30-year-old may not be the high profile signing fans crave, but his experience would add much needed balance to a young midfield, essential if they are to have a successful season.
