Everton are set to complete a deal for the Partick Thistle defender this week.
The defender has only made three first-team appearances for Thistle, making his debut towards the end of last season and since being utilised in the first-team this term.
However, the Toffees have been tracking him for over a year, and Roberto Martinez has had scouts on his trail whilst playing for Thistle’s development squad.
The right-back, who is also able to play in the centre, started his career with Dundee United, before moving to Thistle’s youth squad last summer.
Despite his clear lack of experience, Everton have no doubts about the youngster, and are set to watch him for a final time this week, before tabling a concrete bid for his services.
Thistle are not said to be adverse to Hendry leaving, and if a fee can be agreed between the two clubs, the defender is keen on the move to Goodison Park.
Having been impressed by the start to Hendry’s football career, Everton have won the race to sign the highly rated youngster, and are set to complete his signing this week.
