Predicted West Brom line-up to play Port Vale: Lambert to start

Considering the 11 players who could start for West Bromwich Albion in the League Cup.

West Bromwich Albion have had a disappointing start to the new Premier League season when it comes to results, if not performances.

The Baggies are currently bottom of the table with just one point from their first three games, but Tony Pulis’s side gave their all against champions Chelsea on Sunday and were unlucky to lose 3-2.

Then of course there was the 3-0 mauling at the hands of the current league leaders Manchester City, so to say West Brom have had a tricky start would be an understatement.

Next up is a Capital One Cup clash with Port Vale and Pulis is likely to play a strong side as he seeks his first win of the season.

The only confirmed absentee for West Brom is goalkeeper Ben Foster who remains out with a knee injury, so otherwise there is a full squad to choose from.
