Predicted Everton side to play Barnsley: McAleny starts

Considering the 11 players Everton could pick to start for their upcoming League Cup clash.

Everton take on Barnsley in the second round of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday evening, with Roberto Martinez’s side looking to get back to winning ways after losing 2-0 to Manchester City on Sunday.

The Toffees played their part in a very entertaining match against the current league leaders, and they have done relatively well so far this season, picking up four points to date.

Some silverware would be a huge boost for Everton in what will be Martinez’s third year in charge, so expect them to play a relatively strong side this week and go all out for victory.

Everton are without Tony Hibbert (knee), Leighton Baines (ankle), Darron Gibson (foot) and Steven Pienaar (hamstring) so Martinez is slightly limited in the changes he can make for this one but with a big match against Tottenham Hotspur this weekend expect a few changes.
