Manchester United transfer news: Club linked with £240m Neymar deal; West Ham considering Januzaj loan bid

According to a report from the Sun, Manchester United are willing to ultimately spend a huge £240million if it means bringing Barcelona superstar Neymar to Old Trafford.

The newspaper claims that along with tax add-ons United are willing to spend £165million to sign the player outright from the Spanish giants, with a £300,000-a-week contract offer if he makes the switch.

The sums being suggested are huge and if true the player may well have a decision on his hands.

Neymar’s current contract runs until the summer of 2018 and his ability in front of goal would make him a marquee signing in a deal that would rock the footballing world.

The alleged United target has played 92 times for Barcelona, scoring 54 goals to date.

In other news, the London Evening Standard claims United play-maker Adnan Januzaj is a target for West Ham United.

The paper claims Hammers manager Slaven Bilic wants more width in his side and has targeted Januzaj as a potential loan target, although Tottenham Hotspur’s Aaron Lennon and Chelsea’s Victor Moses are also in the frame.
