John Aldridge sends message to Lucas Leiva on Twitter

Lucas Leiva is reportedly on his way out of Liverpool.

John Aldridge has taken to social networking site Twitter to bid a fond farewell to departing Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva.

Lucas has been on the books of the Reds since 2007 and has a contract until June 2017, but it seems that he is on his way out of Anfield.

According to The Daily Mail, the Brazil international defensive midfielder has agreed to join Turkish club Besiktas on a season-long loan deal.

Former Liverpool striker Aldridge seems disappointed that Lucas is leaving the Merseyside outfit and has posted the following message for the 28-year-old on Twitter:

Lucas made his first Premier League appearance of the season on Monday night, when he featured against Arsenal away from home at the Emirates Stadium in North London.

The former Gremio midfielder played for 75 minutes, during which time he created one chance, had a pass accuracy of 72%, and won two headers and four tackles.
