Liverpool felt positive about securing a draw away to Arsenal.
Liverpool looked every bit Arsenal's equal as they contested an even game at The Emirates.
The Reds drew 0-0 in a game high on entertainment, if lacking in goals.
One the best players on the pitch was Liverpool full-back Joe Gomez, a summer addition from Charlton Athletic.
He commented on twitter after the game to express his view that the draw as a good result even if Liverpool could have regret at not taking all three.
Good result away at the Emirates... Disappointing not to get all 3 points but another clean sheet. Thank you for the messages! #lfc— Joe Gomez (@J_Gomez97) August 24, 2015
Gomez's positivity about the result was backed by striker Daniel Sturridge, who remains sidelined with injury.
He posted on twitter after the game to express his pleasure at the Reds securing a valuable point away to their competitors.

A draw would have been a result Liverpool would have taken when the fixtures were announced, but when they saw Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny injured and replaced in the Arsenal starting line-up with Gabriel Paulista and Calum Chambers they would have been hoping of an even more positive result.
The draw was a point gained but an opportunity missed for Liverpool, yet they remain three points ahead of the Gunners in the table at this early stage of the season.
