Confirmed: West Brom line-up to face Port Vale; Gnabry and Ideye start

West Brom - The Hawthorns

Here is how West Bromwich Albion will line up to face Port Vale this evening.

West Brom starting XI: Myhill; Chester, McAuley, Olsson, Brunt; Gnabry, Yacob, Fletcher, McClean; Lambert, Ideye.

West Brom substitutes: Rose, Dawson, Gardner, McManaman, Sessegnon, Anichebe, Rondon.

West Brom kick off their Capital One Cup campaign as League One outfit Port Vale travel to The Hawthorns for their second round tie this evening.

The Baggies slipped to a narrow 3-2 defeat to Chelsea on Sunday, and whilst the speculation surrounding Saido Berahino's future at the club continues to rumble on, manager Tony Pulis has to keep his squad focused on the task at hand tonight.

West Brom host Port Vale this evening, and the League One club will be keen to spring a huge cup upset as they take on their Premier League counterparts.

Pulis has named a strong side, featuring Premier League veterans such as Gareth McAuley, Jonas Olsson, Chris Bunt, Darren Fletcher and Rickie Lambert, whilst there is also a place in the starting line-up for Serge Gnabry.

The on-loan Arsenal winger was handed a 15 minute cameo against Chelsea on Sunday, but now has the chance to impress during his first start for the club.

Striker Brown Ideye is also handed a chance to impress in attack, having slipped down the pecking order behind new signings Lambert and Salomon Rondon.
