A selection of the latest news concerning West Ham United.
Deal for Joey Barton to be revived
West Ham are considering reviving a deal for Joey Barton, according to the Standard, after cancelling the signing of the opinion-dividing midfielder earlier this summer. Slaven Bilic is still looking for midfield reinforcements, and with the deal for Alex Song still on the ropes, Barton is being reconsidered.
Barton was training with the Hammers earlier this summer, before the club pulled out of a deal due to a large fan backlash at the potential signing.
Four other players on transfer list
The same Standard report also claims that the Hammers are looking at four other players, with Chelsea man Victor Moses at the top of their transfer list. The Irons are prepared to offer £6 million for the 24-year-old, although the Blues are said to value the winger at roughly £10 million.
Aaron Lennon of Spurs, Adnan Januzaj of Manchester United and Toulouse attacker Wissam Ben Yedder are also being considered as signings before the close of the transfer window.
Rob Green negotiations confirmed
Speaking to West London Sport, QPR boss Chris Ramsey has confirmed that West Ham are in talks to sign Rob Green. No deal has yet been finalised, but the head coach has admitted that negotiations are ongoing to see the 35-year-old 'keeper re-sign with the Hammers in the coming days.
