Mario Balotelli's Liverpool exit is imminent, with GianlucadiMarzio's website reporting the Italian could undergo a medical with AC Milan within 24 hours.
Balotelli is not in Liverpool's first team plans this season, and a surprise return to Milan is on the cards just 12 months after leaving for Anfield.
The maverick striker scored only one Premier League goal for Liverpool, but was also handed just 10 starts by manager Brendan Rodgers.
The proposal is for Balotelli to rejoin Milan on loan for the season. This could see his price rise if he performs, or diminish even further if it dips.
Considering the lack of offers on the table at present, and the loss the Reds would have to take, it is a worthwhile gamble from Liverpool's perspective.
The two clubs are currently negotiating who will pay Balotelli's wages for the season, with Milan aiming to convince Liverpool to agree a 50-50 split.
GianlucadiMarzio's website report Balotelli is currently in his hometown of Brescia, waiting for the deal to be signed off, with a potential medical pencilled in for Tuesday.
