Report: Everton target Manchester United's Adnan Januzaj as Andriy Yarmolenko move stalls

According to reports, Everton are targeting Manchester United forward Adnan Januzaj.

The Liverpool Echo suggests that Roberto Martinez has been a long-term admirer of Belgium international Adnan Januzaj and is hoping to sign the 20-year-old who has experienced limited game time under Louis van Gaal.

Januzaj has started the last two games for the Red Devils this term, scoring one goal and fashioning one key pass, but Everton reportedly believe they can secure the youngster on loan for the season.

However, following Manchester United's failure to sign former Barcelona forward Pedro, now of Chelsea, Louis van Gaal may be reluctant to allow the talented teenager to leave.

Most recently he featured in club's 0-0 draw with Newcastle at Old Trafford, completing 95% of his attempted passes and an equally impressive 100% of his take ons.

Latest reports emerge following Martinez's confirmation - following Everton’s 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester City - that he expects to complete three deals at Goodison Park before the upcoming transfer deadline.

According to the Liverpool Echo, he said:  “It’s going to be important the next few days."

“I expect a couple of signings to happen. But there is no news in anything specific, because nothing has been concluded.”

He added: “I expect to complete three signings before the window closes.”

River Plate defender Ramiro Funes Mori is close to completing his £5.5m move, though the Toffees are said to have cooled their interest in prolific Dynamo Kiev winger Andriy Yarmolenko.
