Newcastle United-owned Remy Cabella has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at making a successful debut for Marseille on Sunday evening.
The 25-year-old joined Newcastle from French club Montpellier in the summer of 2014, but he struggled to make a huge impact last season.
The Frenchman could show only glimpses of his talent during the 2014-15 campaign, scoring one goal and creating 37 chances in 31 Premier League matches.
Cabella is looking to kickstart his career in his native country and recover his form at Marseille, and he seems to be already making progress.
The Newcastle-owned attacker started Marseille’s Ligue 1 game against Troyes at home on Sunday evening and played until the 76th minute, when he was replaced by Bouna Sarr.
Cabella played an important role in his loan club’s 6-0 victory: he created two chances, had a pass accuracy of 79%, and won one header and two dribbles.
Following the game, the Frenchman took to Twitter to post the following message, which when translated from French reads: “Proud of this victoryyy !! Huge”.
Fier de cette victoryyy !! Enorme https://t.co/EwJfvbMdTI— Remy Cabella (@RemyCabella) August 23, 2015
Newcastle fans also took to Twitter to respond to Cabella’s tweet and comment on his performance for Marseille.
