The spoils were shared in a close encounter at the Emirates earlier tonight.
Petr Cech: 9/10 MOTM
Enjoyed his best game so far for Arsenal with several outstanding saves, including early contenders for saves of the season to deny Coutinho and Benteke.
Hector Bellerin: 6/10
Had a tough task against the electric Coutinho and was beaten several times but stuck to his duties well and provided a regular outlet down the right.
Calum Chambers: 4/10
The former Southampton man had a horror show in the first half and his poor distribution could easily have cost the Gunners a goal. Steadied the ship somewhat in the second half but still doesn't look completely comfortable in the centre.
Gabriel Paulista: 7/10
A quietly composed night for the Brazilian, made few errors and recovered excellently to catch up and deny a speeding Coutinho bearing down on goal.
Nacho Monreal: 6/10
It was a solid night's display from the Spaniard. Kept Firminho quiet and was a threat with his delivery from wide.
Francis Coquelin: 8/10
Last season's surprise package caught the eye again tonight, mixing up his tenacious tackling ability with an accurate and varied range of passing. Narrowly misses out on MOTM. (Substituted for Oxlade-Chamberlain on 82 minutes)
Santi Cazorla: 6/10
Always capable of a killer pass and provided one for a wrongly-disallowed Aaron Ramsey strike - not his most influential night however.
Aaron Ramsey: 8/10
The Welshman was Arsenal's main threat, with his runs from deep causing mayhem for the Reds defence, and will feel hard done by to have his excellent finish in the first half wrongly ruled offside.
Mesut Ozil: 6/10
As always, an impressive display of technique from one of the Premier League's most gifted players but there was a familiar lack of penetration to his build-up play.
Alexis Sanchez: 7/10
The always-busy Chilean was a constant menace and should really have given Arsenal the lead when he struck the woodwork from six yards out.
Olivier Giroud: 6/10
It proved another fruitless night for the big Frenchman as he failed to convert several decent chances. His link-up play was good, as per usual, but he failed to do what matters most for a striker - find the net. (Substituted for Walcott on 73 minutes)
Theo Walcott: 4/10
Failed to have any impact of the note in the half an hour he was on, as Liverpool sat deep and nullified his pace.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain: 7/10
Provided a dynamism that had been lacking before his arrival and created several key moments in his brief cameo. Knocking on the door for a start next week.
