Gary Neville says he would want Arsenal to win title if Manchester United don’t

Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool will be challenging for the Premier League title this season.

Gary Neville said on the Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports 1 on Monday evening that he would want Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season if Manchester United don’t.

The former United and England international defender said that he has huge respect for the North London outfit, but highlighted the need for the Gunners to strengthen their midfield.

“If Manchester United don’t win the league, Arsenal would be the football club I would want to win the league out of the ones at the top,” said Neville on the Monday Night Football show on Sky Sports 1 on Monday evening.

"I have absolute respect, they are a great football club. I wish they correct this issue of lacking power and strength in the middle of the team."

2015-16 Premier League title race

The Premier League title race is one of the most competitive in Europe, and this season at least four teams will fight for the crown.

Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal will be the top favourites, while Merseyside outfit Liverpool will also fancy their chances despite not having as good a squad as the others.

Defending Premier League champions Chelsea and City will be the top contenders, but United will fancy their chances.

The Red Devils returned to the top four last season, and manager Louis van Gaal will certainly want to win the league title in England this term.

Arsenal always start the season among the favourites, but they tend to fizzle out and end up finishing second or third.

Perhaps this season will be different for the Gunners.
