Confirmed: Arsenal v Liverpool line-ups: Key players missing

How Arsenal and Liverpool line up for tonight's game at The Emirates, with no Per Mertesacker or Laurent Koscielny for the Gunners.

Arsenal host Liverpool in the biggest Monday night game of the Premier League season so far - hoping for a repeat of last season's results.

The Gunners won comprehensively the last time the two teams faced off at The Emirates, winning 4-1.

Liverpool's team is much changed from that fixture, with summer signing Christian Benteke leading the line.

Liverpool would have been worried when they saw the fixture list, but having gained two wins from their opening two games, the pressure on them to get a result is reduced.

They are three points ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League table, who lost their opening home game of the season to West Ham.

Liverpool finished sixth in the Premier League last season, behind Arsenal who secured third position.

An away win would be a huge result for the Reds, while it is an unthinkable result for Arsenal this early on, as it would put them six points behind Brendan Rodgers' side, and pace setters Manchester City.
