HITC Sport understands former Leeds United midfielder Rodolph Austin could be set for a move to Denmark with Brondby.
Brondby are in talks to sign former Leeds United star Rodolph Austin after a move to Sheffield Wednesday was blocked by the Football Association, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Austin is seeking a new club after being refused permission to play in England under the FA's tough new rules on work permits for foreign players.
Sheffield Wednesday had lined up a deal for the Jamaica international, but were told they could push through the move as Austin could not receive a work permit.
It has forced Austin to look elsewhere to continue his career as a result of the work permit problems with several foreign clubs chasing his signature.
Brondby are hoping to tempt Austin to make the move to Denmark with the player having previously played in Scandinavia with SK Brann.
Austin is a free agent after seeing out his contract at Leeds United earlier this summer following three seasons at Elland Road.
Brondby have made a disappointing start to the Danish Superliga season and currently languish in eighth spot after six games and they see Austin as someone who will prove a valuable addition to their squad.
