Watford star appears focused on his club despite Leeds United speculation.
Watford attacker Fernando Forestieri appears focused on his current club despite talk of a potential move to Leeds United.
The Yorkshire Evening Post reported at the weekend that talks are advancing between Leeds and Watford, although no there was no progress in terms of an agreement with the player.
Forestieri was a substitute for Watford as they took on Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday, a 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road.
He sent a message on Twitter after the match, indicating that for now he is fully focused on the Hornets.
Thanks for the support today! Was nice to be in the pitch again feeling the love from the fans Good point today!!!— fernando forestieri (@Forestieri11) August 23, 2015
He has not been named in new manager Quique Flores' starting line-up so far this season, and a move could well be his best chance of first team football this season.
The decision however will rest with the player, who could decide to fight for his place, or dig in his heels to see if he receives what he deems a more attractive offer.
A deal with Leeds could still be struck, but Forestieri is certainly not appearing distracted by the possibility.
