Hull City suffered a 2-1 defeat to Charlton Athletic away from home in the Championship on Saturday.
The Tigers suffered a 2-1 defeat to Charlton at The Valley in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
After a goalless first half, Simon Makienok put the home team in the lead seven minutes into the second period when he headed home a cross from Johann Berg Gudmundsson.
Abel Hernandez restored parity for Hull in the 89th minute when he found the target from close range.
However, Charlton had the last laugh at The Valley, as Berg Gudmundsson headed home in the eighth minute of injury to help the hosts to all three points.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, Charlton had 47% of the possession, took 13 shots of which five were on target and earned five corners.
Steve Bruce’s side had 53% of the possession, took 12 shots of which three were on target and earned four corners.
Following Hull’s defeat to Charlton, former Derby County and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Huddlestone took to Twitter to express his disappointment:
