Rob Jones jokes about West Ham's defending on Twitter before Liverpool clash

Welcome To Anfield

West Ham play Liverpool in the Premier League soon. And the former Anfield man hopes they defend like they did against Bournemouth.

As West Ham United fans despaired while watching their side attempt to defend during a 4-3 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, former Liverpool defender Rob Jones appears to have been rubbing his hands with glee.

Indeed, while watching the Hammers on Match of the Day, the ex-Liverpool man took to Twitter with a hopeful message ahead of the the Upton Park outfit's trip to Merseyside.

West Ham travel to Liverpool for their next Premier League clash and, after a tough trip to Arsenal, it could be the perfect chance for the Reds to grab some goals - if their defending remains as bad as it currently is, anyway.

  Goals ConcededError Lead To GoalAppearances
Sunderland 8 1 3
West Ham 6 3 3
Bournemouth 5 0 3
Chelsea 5 1 2
Southampton 5 1 2
Arsenal 3 2 2

If watching the Match of the Day highlights of West Ham's comical defending against Bournemouth wasn't bad enough, Opta stats show that only Sunderland have conceded more goals than the Irons so far this season.

But no Premier League side has given up more goals with individual errors. The side that has come closest, ironically, is the one West Ham beat on the opening day: Arsenal.

Good news for Liverpool, eh?

The incompetence of the east London side's defending was not lost on former winger Matthew Etherington, meanwhile, who urged Slaven Bilic to sort his back four out pronto on Twitter:
