Tottenham Hotspur hope a wage offer of £40,000 per week will be enough for Saido Berahino to be convinced to join them, report The Mirror.
The club are planning to re-enter negotiations with West Bromwich Albion this week, said by The Mirror to be preparing an offer of £20 million plus add-ons.
The personal terms being put forward by Tottenham are a substantial increase on his current deal at West Brom.
The Independent reported last year that Berahino earns £15,000 per week, a deal he signed in 2013, having been on £850 per week as a trainee beforehand.
The England under-21 international was left out of West Brom's team to face Chelsea at the weekend, as speculation over his future mounts.
The reported offer from Tottenham would see Berahino eclipse would-be strike partner Harry Kane.
The London Evening Standard reported in February that Kane's new contract see him earn around £30,000 per week.
Which puts the £100,000 per week wage Emmanuel Adebayor earns at Tottenham into an even worse context.
