Report: Derby keeping tabs on Liverpool’s Joao Carlos Teixeira

Derby County Huddle

Liverpool prospect Joao Carlos Teixeira is reportedly on the radar of Championship outfit Derby County.

Derby County are interested in signing attacking midfielder Joao Carlos Teixeira from Liverpool before the end of the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Derby are “keeping tabs” on the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.

Good move for Joao Carlos Teixeira?

Teixeira is a highly-rated young attacking midfielder who has played once in the Premier League for Liverpool so far in his career.

The 22-year-old had a positive spell on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion last season, scoring six goals and creating 63 chances in 32 Championship appearances.

Derby are an ambitious Championship outfit who are aiming to finish in the top two of the league table this season and gain automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Joining the Rams would be a good move for the Portuguese youngster, as he would get more playing time that he would at Liverpool.

Moreover, Teixeira would be playing for a team who are very competitive and have lofty ambitions. That is only going to make him better.
