The Venezuela international striker is in contention to feature for West Bromwich Albion against Chelsea at home in the Premier League this afternoon.
The 25-year-old moved to West Brom from Russian Premier League champions Zenit Saint Petersburg earlier this month for a transfer fee of £12 million (as reported by BBC Sport) and could start at The Hawthorns today.
Former Tottenham star Redknapp is looking forward to watching Rondon and has stated that the striker will be under pressure.
“Salomon Rondon will make his home debut and I'm looking forward to seeing him in action,” the former Spurs midfielder wrote on Skysports.com.
“At £12m, West Brom have spent a lot of money by their standards to sign him and there will be pressure on him to perform.”
West Brom will head into today’s match on the back of a goalless draw with Watford away from home at Vicarage Road in the Premier League.
The Baggies started their 2015-16 league campaign with a 3-0 defeat to Manchester City at The Hawthorns.
