Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Raheem Sterling’s performance for Manchester City against Everton away from home today.
Former Liverpool winger Sterling started the Premier League game at Goodison Park and played until the 76th minute, when he was replaced by French attacking midfielder Samir Nasri.
During his time on the pitch, the 20-year-old took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 95%, created three chances, put in one cross and attempted seven dribbles.
Former Tottenham and Everton striker Lineker was following the game, which ended in a 2-0 win for City, and he seemed impressed with the performance of Sterling.

Sterling joined Premier League title contenders City from Liverpool in July, with BBC Sport reporting that the transfer fee paid for his services could reach £49 million.
It is quite a lot of money for someone who is as young as Sterling, but the 20-year-old has started his City career positively.
In three Premier League appearances for Manuel Pellegrini’s side so far this season, the former Liverpool attacker has created three chances, has a pass accuracy of 88% and a shot accuracy of 75%, and has won five dribbles and three tackles.
