Confirmed: Everton and Manchester City line-ups

Everton Goodison 3

Here is how Everton and Manchester City will line up for this afternoon’s match:

Everton welcome Manchester City to Goodison Park later today for a huge match for both sides.

City have started the new season in scintillating form, winning 3-0 against West Bromwich Albion and by the same score-line against reigning Premier League champions Chelsea a week later.

But they will know a trip to Everton is never an easy proposition and the Toffees impressed in their last outing, defeating Southampton 3-0 with relative ease.

Everton also have a great recent home record against today’s opponents, losing just one of their last six league games against City and triumphing on four occasions.

In fact City have a poor record that stretches back much further than that, with the Blues winning only three of their last 18 league games at Goodison Park.

Both sides have great defences right now and it will be interesting to see just how tight this encounter is, and whether it will be Romelu Lukaku or Sergio Aguero who has the last laugh.
