West Brom coach Dave Kemp admits Saido Berahino could move to Tottenham

The Baggies assistant manager stated that with Spurs interested, the attacker’s future could be ‘out of their hands.’

West Brom assistant manager Dave Kemp has admitted to talkSPORT that Tottenham’s interest in Saido Berahino could mean that the attacker’s future is out of the Baggies’ hands.

The England under-21 starlet had an excellent season last term and has caught the gaze of the North London side, who had a bid for the attacker rejected recently according to the West Brom official website.

With Harry Kane Tottenham’s only real option as a centre forward, Mauricio Pochettino has admitted that he wants to add another striker to his contingent before the transfer window closes this summer.

As Spurs prepare a new and improved offer for Berahino, Kemp has confessed that the prize asset could be snatched away from The Hawthorns club.

“Saido’s been good in training, doing his work,” Kemp told talkSPORT.

“But you’re just sitting in the breakfast room and his name is coming up on the TV, linked with Tottenham, so your head is going to get turned.

“He’s only a young lad but his attitude has been good. He’s a fabulous player and we’d be quite happy to keep him but these things get taken out of your hands sometimes.”

Tottenham were 2-0 up against Stoke last weekend but the second-half substitution of Kane, who was replaced by the unconvincing Erik Lamela, played its part in the Potters getting a 2-2 draw.

West Brom have strengthened their offensive options this summer with the signings of Salomon Rondon and Rickie Lambert, with the Baggies seemingly prepared for life without Berahino should a suitable fee be agreed.
