Newly-signed Celtic midfielder Scott Allan has told BT Sport that he was delighted to have made his debut for the club this afternoon.
The 23-year-old midfielder featured in his first competitive game for the Bhoys when he came on as a substitute against Dundee United away from home.
The former West Bromwich Albion man came on in place of Leigh Griffiths in the 68th minute of the Scottish Premiership encounter at Tannadice Park.
Celtic won the game 3-1, as they continue their march towards a fifth successive Scottish Premiership title.
Following the game, Allan spoke of his delight at having featured for the Bhoys on BT Sport.
"I was delighted to go on the park and show the Celtic fans what I can do," Allan told BT Sport.
"It was unbelievable (the reception from the Celtic fans)," added the midfielder. "I look forward to playing in front of them again."
Earlier this summer, Allan was linked to a move to Celtic’s bitter rivals Rangers, who are currently in the Scottish Championship.
According to BBC Sport, the 23-year-old former Dundee United midfielder was interested in leaving Hibernian and moving to Scottish Championship club Rangers.
However, it was Scottish Premiership giants Celtic who snapped up Allan earlier this month.
