There were plenty of celebrations at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday afternoon represented a special victory for QPR.
Indeed, it wasn't just any win, it was Stan Bowles day. And, for Mr Bowles, the R's pulled out all the stops during a 4-2 triumph over Rotherham United.
Rodney Marsh reacted to the occasion on Twitter with some advice for the west London club:
Superb classy act by #QPR today for Stan Bowles. Now they should hire him as ambassador on the same terms as Andy Sinton.— Rodney Marsh (@RodneyMarsh10) August 22, 2015
And striker Charlie Austin, who scored twice for the R's against Steve Evans' men, also took to social media. Following the week he has had, the QPR forward resisted the temptation to be smug or hit back at anyone and simply celebrated the victory.
The 26-year-old did, too, pay tribute to Bowles, as well as his team-mate Tjaronn Chery, who got himself on the scoresheet.
Great performance from the lads today pleased for cherry getting on the score sheet also 3 points great week for us #StanBowlesDay— Charlie Austin (@chazaustin9) August 22, 2015
Two wins in two now for the R's, who could be building some momentum. But, naturally, keeping their best players beyond the current transfer window will remain the priority for Chris Ramsey and co. On the pitch, Huddersfield Town are up next for QPR in the Championship and Carlisle United in the Capital One Cup.
Buzzing with the 3 points! Great performance from the lads even in the heat. Fans were quality !!!— Massimo Luongo (@MassLuongo) August 22, 2015
