Pochettino says he is angry after Tottenham's latest mistake

The Tottenham Hotspur boss is clearly not happy after their latest performance.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the BBC after his side drew 1-1 with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Tottenham led courtesy of an 81st-minute goal from young midfielder Dele Alli but that lead lasted barely a minute as in-form Riyad Mahrez went up the other end and scored almost immediately.

That means Tottenham have now picked up just two points from their first three matches of the season and something has to change quickly, especially when you consider Spurs have thrown away leads in their last two matches.

Pochettino was clearly not happy at the final whistle, telling the BBC, “I am angry and disappointed, not frustrated. The mistake we made today is difficult to explain.”

The problem for Tottenham and for Pochettino right now is that the North London club appears stuck in a rut and without some real quality additions in what remains of the transfer window they could be set for a frustrating campaign.

Harry Kane is understandably tired while Tottenham’s bench showed they do not currently have sufficient strength in depth – even if Alli came off the bench to score the opening goal.

The question is: How will Pochettino use his anger to ensure his side turns a corner quickly and effectively.
