Matthew Etherington says Moses would be ideal for West Ham - but not Stoke

West Ham Tube Sign

The former Stoke man has urged the Potters not to sign the Chelsea winger - but feels another former club in West Ham could do with him.

Former West Ham United winger Matthew Etherington believes Chelsea wide man Victor Moses would be ideal for the east London side.

Indeed, West Ham's search for a new midfielder is over, with Alex Song being tied down to a deal at Upton Park, but their pursuit of a new forward remains.

A centre-forward is a must for the Hammers but Etherington feels winger Moses would be a perfect fit for Slaven Bilic's men.

However, Etherington, who also turned out for Stoke City during a career that was cut short by injury, feels Moses wouldn't be a good option for the Potters.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Stoke but the former winger feels Mark Hughes' men are now too top heavy to move for the Chelsea wide man once again.

According to the Daily Mirror, West Ham have lodged a £6 million bid for Moses.

Do you think the Nigerian would be a hit at Upton Park? Or would he be better off returning to Stoke and trying to reproduce his form of last campaign at the Britannia?
