Leeds United East Stand

A select round-up of the latest news relating to Leeds United…

Leeds United take on Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon as the Whites continue their search for their first win of the new Championship campaign.

So far this season Leeds have drawn against Burnley, Reading and most recently Bristol City, but that vital first victory should come sooner rather than later.

In early team news, the BBC reports that Leeds midfielder Luke Murphy could make his first start this season following his return from injury.

Lewis Cook continues his three-match suspension but Gaetano Berardi and Liam Cooper are being tipped to come in and refresh the back-line.

As for Wednesday, they are said to have injury doubts concerning Glenn Loovens, Keiren Westwood and Atdhe Nuhiu.

In other news, Leeds manager Uwe Rosler has been speaking to the Yorkshire Evening Post about the fact that his side are a scalp others want to take week in, week out in the division.

“We have to live with this,” the Leeds boss said. “We want to play and work for this great football club so that’s what we have to live with.”

A win this afternoon and Leeds’ season can really take off after a promising start…
