Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that he is devastated by his side’s failure to win against Leicester City away from home today
Spurs’ search for their first Premier League win of the season continued, as they played out a 1-1 draw with Leicester at the King Power Stadium.
Second-half substitute Alli broke the deadlock in the 81st minute of the encounter when he turned in Nacer Chadli's cross from close range.
However, Riyad Mahrez, who had earlier hit the post, restored parity for the Foxes just 90 seconds later with a fierce left-footed finish.
It was Alli’s second Premier League appearance for Tottenham and his first goal for the North London outfit.
Although the 19-year-old was pleased with his goal, he was disappointed with the final result.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham had 65% of the possession, took 19 shots of which six were on target and earned seven corners.
