"Absolutely dreadful" - West Ham fans react on Twitter to Jenkinson's display against Bournemouth

Carl Jenkinson endured a torrid afternoon as West Ham lost 4-3 to Bournemouth.

West Ham United slipped to a second home defeat in a week as they were beaten 4-3 by newly-promoted Bounremouth this afternoon.

The Hammers, who lost 2-1 to Leicester City at Upton Park last weekend, endured another torrid afternoon as Bournemouth embarrassed them with a convincing performance.

Two first half goals from Callum Wilson but Bournemouth 2-0 up at the break, but West Ham appeared to be on the verge of a remarkable comeback as goals from Mark Noble and Cheikhou Kouyate pulled Slaven Bilic's side level.

However, Marc Pugh put the Cherries back in front, and Wilson completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot, which came from Carl Jenkinson's sending off.

Modibo Maiga pulled a goal back with just eight minutes to play, but it wasn't enough to haul West Ham back into the game - and many fans aimed their frustration at Jenkinson.

The on-loan Arsenal full back was given the runaround by Bournemouth star Max Gradel, and after a poor defensive display, his red merely compounded a torrid afternoon.

Fans took to Twitter after the game to slam Jenkinson's performance, branding it 'absolutely dreadful', before admitting that they were relieved West Ham didn't sign Jenkinson permanently despite his fine performances during a loan spell last season.

Some even wanted Arsenal to take Jenkinson back now, labelling his display as one of the worst they had seen during their time watching West Ham.
