Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the news that Alex Pritchard has signed a new contract with the club.
Pritchard is a highly-rated youngster who can play as an attacking midfielder as well as a winger.
The 22-year-old has been on the books of Spurs since 2009, when he joined them after leaving London rivals West Ham United.
The Englishman is not guaranteed a place in Tottenham’s starting line-up, though, as he played on loan for Brentford last season.
During the 2014-15 campaign with the Bees, Pritchard scored 11 goals and created 111 chances in 46 Championship games.
Following the announcement of Pritchard’s new deal, Tottenham fans took to Twitter to urge head coach Mauricio Pochettino to play him regularly this season, with first-team regular Kyle Walker congratulating the youngster.
I really hope Pritchard is fit enough for a start tomorrow #COYS— Tottenham Talk (@THFCtweet) August 21, 2015

@DannyOreilly_1 based on both their forms last season I'd pick a fit Pritch over an unconfident Lamela all day long tbh— Danny Watkins (@dannywatty) August 21, 2015
