Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Victor Wanyama is not for sale.
This follows speculation that the Saints’ Premier League rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, are interested in signing the 24-year-old defensive midfielder before the end of the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Kenya international is keen on working with Spurs head coach Mauricio Pochettino again, having played under him at Southampton during the 2013-14 season.
However, Koeman has made it clear that the former Celtic star is not for sale this summer.

It seems that Tottenham will now have to look elsewhere for a defensive midfielder, as it appears that Koeman is adamant about Wanyama remaining at St. Mary's Stadium.
Wanyama is an important player for Southampton, and it makes sense for the Saints not to sell him, especially as they will struggle to find a suitable replacement for him at this stage of the season.
