Tottenham are reportedly hoping to agree a move for Sadio Berahino today.
Spurs have mostly prioritised their defence this summer having snapped up the likes Kevin Wimmer, Kieran Trippier and Toby Alderweireld, but manager Mauricio Pochettino did finally add an attacking option last weekend as Lyon forward Clinton N'Jie joined the club.
Even after signing the Cameroon international, Pochettino is still in the market for another forward, and West Bromwich Albion confirmed on their official website earlier this week that they had rejected a bid from Tottenham for Saido Berahino.
The 22-year-old hit 20 goals for the Baggies last season, and is largely considered to be one of brightest young forwards in English football - prompting Spurs to pursue him as a complement to Harry Kane.
After the initial rejection, it now seems that Spurs are ready to make another bid, with The Sun reporting that Pochettino's men have offered £20m for Berahino, with defender Federico Fazio heading to West Brom in part-exchange.
The report also states that Tottenham are hoping to rush through the deal today, even if he wouldn't be able to play against Leicester City this weekend.
With pace as well as versatility to play up front as well as out wide, Berahino could be a great attacking weapon for Spurs, if they can tempt the Baggies into the sale before the transfer window.
