Report: Terms agreed, West Ham expect to seal transfer of Rob Green within hours

West Ham hope to complete the signing of Rob Green from QPR imminently.

West Ham hope to re-sign striker Rob Green, according to The Mirror, but the clock is ticking.

Their desire to bring him in is as cover for number one goalkeeper Adrian, who is suspended for three matches after his red card against Leicester.

Terms are already agreed report The Mirror, but the Hammers face a race against time to complete the move and register him in time for today's (Friday's) 12pm deadline ahead of this weekend.

If not then Darren Randolph will play in goal against Bournemouth, a side who he conceded eight goals against when he last faced them.

This is no short-term deal either, with Green's return from QPR set to be permanent.

QPR sealed a deal yesterday to sign Alex Smithies from Huddersfield, meaning they already have a replacement, removing the main obstacle to a deal.

A short trip across London for Green should see him able to undergo a medical in time for the deadline if he has not already.

The 35-year-old veteran had only one year remaining on his QPR contract after signing from West Ham in 2012.

He has 241 appearances for the Hammers to his name, which included keeping 62 clean sheets.
