Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that Manchester United will win against Newcastle United at home in the Premier League this afternoon.
The former United and Newcastle striker believes that the Red Devils will pick up all three points at Old Trafford with relative ease.
“United have only lost one of their last 25 games in top-tier football with Newcastle and I thought the Red Devils looked to be running into form in the Champions League earlier in the week,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com.
“The Magpies have lost their last seven PL games on the road and I would be surprised if they took anything away from Old Trafford.”
Louis van Gaal’s United will be heavy favourites to win today, as they are at home and are in form.
The Red Devils have won their opening two Premier League games of the season, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at Old Trafford before getting the better of Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park by the same margin.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have made a disappointing start to their 2015-16 Premier League campaign.
The Magpies drew 2-2 with Southampton at St. James’ Park in their opening league game of the season.
Steve McClaren’s side went down 2-0 to Swansea City away from the home at the Liberty Stadium last weekend.
