The former Newcastle United striker believes that the Foxes will register a narrow win or draw at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League encounter.
“I am going for the exact same perm of results in the Leicester v Tottenham game – 2-1, 1-0 and 1-1 – as you have to give the Foxes the respect they deserve for opening defeats of Sunderland (4-2) and West Ham (2-1),” Owen wrote on Colossusbets.com.
“Granted, Tottenham will provide a stiffer test and their fans would be wise not to get too carried away, but you have to be impressed with them so far, and that is not necessarily the case with their opponents.
“You can argue that Spurs were slightly unfortunate to lose 1-0 at Old Trafford but they only had themselves to blame for throwing away a 2-0 lead at home to Stoke last weekend. They could be in for more disappointment here.”
Tottenham have yet to win in the Premier League this campaign, having picked up just a point from their opening two matches.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side started their 2015-16 campaign with a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Then last weekend, Spurs played out a 2-2 draw with Stoke City at White Hart Lane, having gone 2-0 up by half time.
Meanwhile, Leicester will head into the match at the King Power Stadium high on confidence.
Claudio Ranieri’s side have surprised many Premier League followers by winning both of their league games so far.
The Foxes won 4-2 against Sunderland at home on the opening weekend of the campaign, before getting the better of West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground in London.
