Former Manchester United and Newcastle United striker Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Monday night’s Premier League game between Arsenal and Liverpool will end in a draw.
Arsene Wenger’s side will take on the Reds at the Emirates Stadium in North London, and Owen believes that the spoils will be shared.
“The Reds took just one point from their four away games against the Big Four (Chelsea, City, United & Arsenal) last term but I think they will double that tally at the Emirates,” the former Liverpool striker wrote on Betvictor.com.
“The Reds have looked solid rather than spectacular so far this term and I think Brendan Rodgers will be the happier of the two managers on Monday evening.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Game to finish as a draw”.
Arsenal will head into the game at the Emirates on the back of a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace away from home.
The Gunners’ win against the Eagles at Selhurst Park last weekend saw them bounce back from the 2-0 home defeat to West Ham United on the opening weekend of the season.
The North London outfit are one of the main challengers for the Premier League title this season, but it is Liverpool who are in better form at the moment.
Brendan Rodgers’s side have won both of their league matches so far, defeating Stoke City 1-0 away from home at the Britannia Stadium before getting the better of Bournemouth 1-0 at Anfield on Monday.
