Carlos Carvalhal raves about Modou Sougou

Sheffield Wednesday - The Owls

Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday will face each other at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Modou Sougou could be a key player against Leeds United today.

Wednesday will take on Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Championship this afternoon.

The Owls will be aiming to pick up all three points against the Whites, and Carvalhal has suggested that 30-year-old winger Sougou could play a vital role in their attempt to do so.

Former Marseille winger Sougou joined Wednesday on a free transfer earlier this month and has already started to make an impression at the Championship club.

The former CFR Cluj man scored on his debut for the Owls on Wednesday evening, helping his side play out a 1-1 draw with Reading at Hillsborough.

The Senegal international came on as a substitute in the second half and gave a decent account of himself. Sougou had a pass accuracy of 80% and won one header.
