Paul Merson believes Tottenham will fail to beat Leicester on Saturday afternoon, according to his regular Sky Sports predictions column.
Indeed, the pundit feels the north London side will lose to Claudio Ranieri's men as they are too reliant on their star striker - and because the home side are in simply superb form.
Merson told Sky Sports: "Spurs played well at [Manchester] United on the opening day and were cruising against Stoke at 2-0 up but I think this is a hard game for them with the way Leicester have started the season.
"They are relying on Harry Kane too much and I think the pace and energy of Leicester will see them come out on top."
This time last week, it might have been easy to criticise Merson for such a prediction. But the funny thing? The pundit went for both a 2-2 Tottenham draw and a 2-1 Leicester win last weekend.
It could be pot luck but, based on current form, the former Arsenal midfielder certainly isn't wrong. Tottenham are too reliant on Kane, with the striker's departure from the field of play causing a great imbalance in their side against Stoke.
Whether the Foxes can win three out of three, however, remains to be seen. Mauricio Pochettino will have seen things go wrong against a beatable Manchester United side and during a game they were comfortably winning - and he will surely have something planned against Leicester.
If not, Merson may well be right about Tottenham for a second week running.
