Southampton winger Sadio Mane has been linked with a move to Premier League rivals Manchester United.

Former Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United star Trevor Sinclair has taken to social networking site Twitter to state that Southampton winger Sadio Mane would be a good signing for Manchester United.

According to The Guardian, United have made a move for the 23-year-old winger after failing to sign Pedro from Barcelona.

It ha been reported that the Red Devils were in the market to recruit the Spain international, but with the Champions League winner is now set to join Chelsea, Louis van Gaal’s side have turned their on focus on Mane.

Former Manchester City winger Sinclair has taken to social networking site Twitter to have his say on the report.

Mane is a good player, but he is nowhere near the stature of Pedro, who is also a World Cup winner with Spain.

Moreover, the Senegal international has been playing in the Premier League for just one season, having joined Southampton from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2014.

The former Metz winger scored 10 goals and created 40 chances in 30 Premier League appearances for the Saints last season.

Mane had a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 53%, and won 16 headers, 59 dribbles and 34 tackles.
