Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Charlie Austin scored for Queens Park Rangers against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship on Wednesday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to have their say on Charlie Austin scoring for the second game in a row for Queens Park Rangers.

The 26-year-old forward was on target for Rangers on Wednesday evening, as the London outfit staged a sensational 3-2 comeback victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home.

Hosts Wolves took the lead as early as the 17th minute when Benik Afobe found the target from close range.

Kenny Jackett’s side doubled the advantage on 24 minutes through Kevin McDonald, who fired home from 18 yards.

However, QPR staged a sensational comeback thereafter at the Molineux Stadium and scored three goals to secure all three points.

Star forward Austin started the comeback in the 38th minute when he headed home Matt Phillips’s cross.

The 24-year-old winger himself restored parity just seven minutes into the second half with an effort from the edge of the Wolves box, and scored the winner on 72 minutes from 25 yards.

The goal against Wolves was Austin’s second in a row, with the former Burnley star having found the target during QPR’s 2-2 draw with Cardiff City at Loftus Road at the weekend.

In three Championship appearances this season, Austin has created six chances, has a pass accuracy of 65% and a shot accuracy of 50%, and has won eight headers and five tackles.

Austin is an in-demand forward in the summer transfer market, with West Ham United and Newcastle United reported to be interest in his services by The Daily Mail. while The Daily Star recently stated that Tottenham want him.

Following Austin’s goal against Wolves, Spurs fans took to Twitter to urge the club to sign him before the summer transfer window ends.
