Modou Sougou scored Sheffield Wednesday’s equalising goal against Reading.

Wednesday looked to be heading to defeat, before Sougou netted his second goal in two games in the dying moments to secure a point.

The 30-year-old netted after a mistake from Reading ‘keeper Jonathan Bond, ensuring that the Owls took an undeserved point, and keeping them one point from the play-off places.

It was a poor performance by Carlos Carvalhal’s side, but securing a result whilst playing badly is the sign of a good team.

There are clear improvements that need to be made for the team in the coming weeks, and the first one of those will be to ensue Mougou starts this weekend when the Owls take on Leeds this weekend.

The Senegalese international impressed when he came on, and fans took to Twitter to express their pleasure at his performance, and his vital goal, and many expressed their wish to see the winger start for Wednesday this weekend against Leeds.
