Nacer Chadli says it is up to Tottenham to ensure the club take the points from Saturday’s trip to Leicester.
Nacer Chadli suggests it is Tottenham's responsibility to ensure maximum points as the club visit Leicester City on Saturday.
Claudio Ranieri's Foxes have made a flying start to the new campaign - winning both of their opening two fixtures - and as such they pose a significant hurdle as Spurs continue the chase for their first victory of the season.
The Belgian international scored his first goal of the season in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Stoke, but he shared the supporters' frustrations after two late goals saw the Potters claim a share of the spoils at White Hart Lane.
He told the club's official website, “If we play a good game I’m very confident we will win the game because we’ve got quality players in our side."
“Leicester are at home so they’ll obviously want to win, but we always play to win as well so it’ll probably be an open game.
“I think it’s up to us to go there and get the points. We’ve all worked hard this week to prepare ourselves for the game and we need to make sure we get the job done. We’re going there to win.”
Chadli has made two appearances for the Lilywhites this term, scoring once and fashioning two key passes in the process.
He has proven accurate from all of his attempts at goal thus far, while finding success in 50% of his take ons and headed duels.
Having finished the previous campaign as the club's second highest scorer - with 11 goals to his name - he looks set to be a key contributor in the final third for the second season running.
