Rangers boss Mark Warburton has told the club's official website that Dominic Ball and Nathan Oduwa will play big parts this season following their first starts for the club.
Warburton watched on as Rangers beat Ayr United 2-0 in the Challenge Cup on Wednesday night, as goals from Nicky Clark and Barrie McKay handed Rangers the victory.
It continues Rangers superb start under new manager Warburton, and the game featured two full debuts for new signings Dominic Ball and Nathan Oduwa.
Both players joined Rangers on season-long loan deals from Tottenham Hotspur last week, with the Premier League side hoping the duo would play plenty of first-team football this season.
Oduwa had a cameo role as a substitute against Alloa Athletic on Sunday, but both players featured from the start against Ayr United, and played 90 minutes.
Speaking to the Rangers official website, Warburton spoke of his delight that both players completed 90 minutes, before saying that they will play big parts for the club this season.
"They’ve come here to a difficult venue and a difficult situation and I’m very, very pleased they both got 90 minutes under their belts, and they will have a big part to play this season," said Warburton.
Oduwa has already hit the headlines due to his pace, driving runs and flamboyant trickery, whilst defender Ball will offer valuable cover for Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan in defence, making them both integral parts of Warburton's plans this term.
