Wednesday failed to return to winning ways in the league, as they played out a 1-1 draw with the Royals at Hillsborough.
After a goalless first half, Danny Williams gave Reading the lead in the 49th minute, firing into the roof of the net after Orlando Sa had broken into the penalty box.
Second-half substitute Modou Sougou restored parity for the Owls in the final moments of the game when he found the target from close range after keeper Jonathan Bond dropped Rhoys Wiggins's cross.
Following the draw, winger Sougou and defender Hunt (on loan from Premier League side Crystal Palace) took to Twitter to have their say on Wednesday’s performance and the final result against Reading.
Reading made it very difficult for us tonight and on top of that we wasn't at it. Disappointing but that happens sometimes #swfc— Jack Hunt (@Hunty32) August 19, 2015
We kept trying and we will take the point. Massive game for everyone Saturday. Thanks for the support tonight #swfc— Jack Hunt (@Hunty32) August 19, 2015
Over the course of the 90 minutes, Wednesday had 55% of the possession, took four shots of which two were on target and earned one corner.
Carlos Carvalhal’s side are 10th in the Championship table at the moment with four points from three games.
