Emmanuel Frimpong urges Arsenal to re-sign Benik Afobe

Benik Afobe has says he hopes Arsenal have a buy back option on Wolves' Benik Afobe.

Benik Afobe can't stop scoring for Wolves - netting his third goal of the season last night against QPR.

He now has 16 goals in 25 games for the club since moving in January, which follows the 19 goals in 30 he scored on loan at MK Dons in the first half of last season.

Now his former Arsenal under-21 teammate Emmanuel Frimpong has urged the Gunners to look at bringing him back at some stage in the future.

Frimpong is a former Wolves loanee himself, but his comments won't be welcome at Molineux.

In response to speculation linking him with a Premier League move, Wolves issued a statement on their website confirming Afobe is not for sale.

Whether Arsenal did insert a buy back clause into his contract is unclear, but there are currently no reports to suggest so.

A move back to Arsenal right now would not necessarily be good for Afobe's development, for he is flourishing for finally getting the chance to play Premier League football.

The fact Frimpong is suggesting it, is a complement to his rapid progress.
