Garry Monk has commented on Michu's future amid interest from Celtic.
Swansea City manager Garry Monk has suggested that Spanish striker Michu will be leaving the club.
According to Wales Online, Hoops boss Ronny Deila had been considering a swoop for the player with the one-time Spanish international high on the club's wanted list.
The 29-year-old striker, who has scored 28 goals in 67 games for the Swans, spent last season on loan at Napoli, making just five goalless appearances.
Speaking ahead of the club's weekend clash away to struggling Sunderland, the talented young manager said:
"I’m meeting the chairman afterwards but it [the player's situation] is as it is.
"There’s different clubs supposedly interested but there’s nothing concrete.
"We’re speaking to his reps to find the best solution for both."
Although Garry Monk admitted there is "nothing concrete" on offer for the one-time international at the moment, he has suggested that Michu will leave the Liberty Stadium before the close of the summer window.
With a year left to run on a lucrative contract thought to be worth around £40,000 a week, the former Rayo Vallecano is reportedly interesting his old club as well as a number of other Spanish sides.
Celtic manager Ronny Deila is believed to want the Swansea forward to spearhead the club's European challenge.
